Something that I've just found out... is that families of primary aged children can order Lateral Flow Device home test kits themselves. (Not for the children, but for the household.) Please click the link below to read more and find out about the process. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/rapid-lateral-flow-testing-for-households-and-bubbles-of-school-pupils-and-staff

Upcycling for our Eco Cabin!

2021-02-27T20:06:27+00:00

A lovely, sunny afternoon, so it was one more small step (literally - prepping the step!) for the Eco Cabin. The framework won't take long at all now, and the girls who designed it before Lockdown back in December will be really happy to see it develop further! We've plans for some more tasks around our grounds, and maybe a [...]

Governors’ Report on Remote Learning

2022-08-18T13:27:00+01:00

Our Governors' report from January 2020 How Are We Doing (More Importantly, How Are You Doing?) As another week of home learning comes to an end, thank you to all the families who completed the recent Remote Learning Survey.  The results, together with individual feedback to teachers, has given us a great insight into how things are going and helped [...]

Home Debate Club…

2022-08-18T13:27:00+01:00

We've blogged about Home Debate Club before... it's a question, posted online, to help families and classes take part in a fun online debate to boost wellbeing, support a deeper thought process on something topical and to encourage an acceptance on other's opinions. This week's question, asks, "Should having the internet be a human right?" Click here to start the [...]

World Book Day – Thursday 11th March

2022-08-18T13:27:00+01:00

Dear Parents / Carers World Book Day falls on Thursday 4th March this year. However, we have made the decision as a school to celebrate this a week later, on Thursday 11th March. This is so that we can celebrate it properly, in school, dressed up as our favourite characters, with every child together. After a difficult few weeks of [...]

We Are Community…!

2022-08-18T13:27:00+01:00

Just a touch less than two weeks of Remote Provision and then we're all back on the 8th March! I've got to say that I'm looking forward to some normality and seeing everyone back in... and what a term to have this as our school value for the half term - We Are Community!  I bet, after a rainy and [...]

DIY (with lots of help!)

2022-08-18T13:27:00+01:00

It was going to be a DIY and tidying up kind of day, but I ended up having lots of help! There was an awful lot of wood left over after the installation of the EYFS canopy and some of the year 5 and 6 children had thought about making an eco cabin out of it... so that's how it [...]

Tricky word hunt!

2022-08-18T13:27:00+01:00

For our Literacy today, we were practising our tricky words. We dotted the words around the class (and house) and we tried to see how many we could find. When we found them, we had to read them and then write them on a whiteboard, paper or even the sand at the beach!! cof

Which material works best for a house?

2022-08-18T13:27:00+01:00

This afternoon we were testing materials to see which would be the best for building a house. We made our first house out of sugar cubes...but then we watched them dissolve when it rained! Next, we tried cotton wool...but it only absorbed the water. We decided the best material was the bricks as it was the only one that kept [...]

Can you trust the internet?

2022-08-18T13:27:00+01:00

For Safer Internet Day, some of our Class 3 wrote up some of the facts we found out during our topic of The Roman Empire. One of the aspects about their theme this year is whether we can trust the Internet.  Are the facts that we find and read, reliable? So, some of us went on to Google Sites and [...]
