Authors visting Georgeham

2023-11-23T13:01:28+00:00

We have been inspired by the wonderful Patrice Lawrence in class 3 and 4, and the hilarious Nick Toczek in class 2. With the help of the Appledoore book festival we've had the pleasure of welcoming these authors to our school. They spoke about writing, being creative and their journey's to become authors.  While also sharing some poems, stories and [...]

Class 3 walk the River Lyn

2023-09-26T21:00:42+01:00

Class 3 had an epic adventure today, following the River Lyn from its source to mouth with our amazing National Trust guides. We looked at how the river changed as it grew, had lunch at Watersmeet (a confluence) and then finished off our journey with an ice-cream at Lynmouth (the Lyn's mouth!). Along the way we saw some of the [...]

2023-09-10T21:20:54+01:00

We had a wonderful morning with Laura Martin, P.E. expert, teaching us various qualities of a great "Play leader". A play leaders role is to encourage their peers and school community to join exciting and fun games on the playground. This helps build fitness, fun and freinship into our playtimes at Georgeham. The whole school enjoyed our lunctime session!   [...]
