Georgeham’s Intrepid X Country Runners Kick Off the Gliddon and Squire 2019/20 Season in Style... Georgeham’s x country runners hit the ground running (literally - there was quite a lot of slipping and sliding taking place) at a very wet, windy and muddy Kingsley School, host of the first event in the 2019/20 X Country League. Hundreds of children from [...]

Just like tennis club this morning, the rain brought the club inside. This week's multi-skills had lots of activities, and fortunately there wasn't anything broken... unlike this morning! 😳😂 Thanks Tamsin... Some very excited children absolutely having a ball and thoroughly enjoying themselves! Thanks!

Interested in the Gliddon and Squire Cross Country League…?

2019-09-24T17:00:22+01:00

Last year we entered the Gliddon and Squire X Country League for the first time.  Children in years 3-6 took part and loved the experience of running around in the mud for their school!  We'd love to enter this year.  There are 7 events across the Autumn and Winter and you can enter as many as you like.  The emphasis [...]

Rainy days and Mondays…

2022-08-18T13:27:08+01:00

It's Monday, it's raining but nothing gets us down at Stepping Stones. We had a great time exploring The Three Little Pigs last week. It was great fun huffing and puffing all over the place. The children loved making houses out of hay, sticks and stones outside in forest school and trying to blow them back down again. We also [...]

Pen Recycling…

2022-08-18T13:27:08+01:00

Our little Pringle tube is full of pens at home, so I'm bringing them in to school. We've a huge Terracycle recycling box in the school hall if you'd like to bring in pens, cartridges, highlighters etc., even Tippex and Pritt sticks. Just pass them over to your child, they'll know where to put them. Which reminds me, we need [...]

A report from Kitty... "Myah has been really nice to me and she made me feel really good." We learn about PSHE, and we do activities about things such as kindness, today. Our Family Groups have all different ages of kids in them, they're really happy, and everyone comes together to talk about different things and we help each other. [...]

Once Upon A Time…

2022-08-18T13:27:08+01:00

...there was a pre-school and it was called Stepping Stones! :) We have had a cracking return to Stepping Stones after the summer break. After our first full week last week, we are very happy to be back into the full swing of things. Last week our topic was 'Our Favourite Stories' and we have very much enjoyed reading lots [...]

Class 3 make a friend-literally!

2022-08-18T13:27:08+01:00

Today was my first Friday morning with class 3 and we thought about the attributes of a good friend. Everyone 'made' a person with playdough, gave him/her a name, described them and finally introduced their friend to the class. Lots of fun and some great conversations. I shall be teaching class 3 every Friday morning, I'm looking forward to starting [...]
