…there was a pre-school and it was called Stepping Stones! đŸ™‚

We have had a cracking return to Stepping Stones after the summer break. After our first full week last week, we are very happy to be back into the full swing of things. Last week our topic was ‘Our Favourite Stories’ and we have very much enjoyed reading lots of the children’s books that they brought in from home. Please keep them coming in!

We experienced some rainy days but it didn’t stop us from getting outside to forest school, thanks to our snazzy all in one waterproofs. We have a new play house up in the area which has proven very popular. It will certainly bring lots of play opportunities as we continue to explore ‘Storytime’. This week we are looking at the classic Three Little Pigs, so no doubt the house will provide some fab role play opportunities for the kids. We’ve already been practicing our huffing and puffing this morning! đŸ˜‰

At Stepping Stones we embrace the mud!

We have been really impressed with how settled the children have been. Even after having 6 weeks off we have loved the chilled out and positive vibe within the room. We’ve even had some new starters so it has been really important for us all to get to know each other and start building new relationships. Especially as we have said goodbye to so many children who have started in reception!

Our new topic board – all ready to be filled up with the children’s work.

Playing offices. Some fab improv and language arising here.

Making music…practicing loud and quiet sounds.

Everybody loves snack time! đŸ™‚
