Class 3 had some fun making real, sedimentary pebbles today!

Igneous and metamorphic would be hugely difficult (and we’ve no resources at all to make those!) but we were successful with little sedimentary rocks.

Sedimentary rocks are layers of… sediment. So we layered sand and soil and squashed them very, very tightly. It was quite exciting!

The main photo I’ve used above, and on Facebook, is Romeo’s and Bodie H-T’s pebble. I think this one had the most layers. I wonder if anyone can improve on this over the weekend?
