National Trust Christmas Decorations

2014-12-08T13:43:29+00:00

The National Trust rangers came to school today armed with lots of lovely holly, berries, spruce twigs, teasels and silver spray to make up holly wreaths with classes one and two. We had a lovely morning making our Christmas decorations. Thank you to Rob and his team for helping us.

Class 4…I wonder who the winner will be?

2014-12-05T20:10:06+00:00

In Science this term class 4  have been considering how we can use our learning about materials to help us to design clothing and equipment for an outdoor adventure.  Today we brought all of these thoughts together and created our information posters that will be sent in to Pete at No Sweat Outdoors in Barnstaple so that he can choose [...]

FROGS’ crafts and cakes….

2022-08-18T13:27:25+01:00

Class 4 came along to the village hall this afternoon to sing a few of our Christmas songs towards the end of the FROGS' craft fair. Thomas even wanted to do a solo which then started something with all of them wanting to sing solos! Very happy children; managing to get some tears from the parents from the wonderful lyrics [...]

Our Christmas Fair…!

2014-12-03T15:45:32+00:00

What a wonderful afternoon... and the sun's shining too! Thanks everyone... the children loved today, designing their stalls, thinking about how to play games, what people could win and details like... "um, how much change do I give?" Thanks to FROGS again for the smell of mulled wine through the school and helping out with the raffle - [...]

Some more dancing practice!

2014-11-24T21:27:44+00:00

Miss Hill videoed some more this afternoon and Miss Butters put them through their paces with the dancing (I think she sang along a little too!) Here they are so you can either dance along and have fun with us (we've heard you enjoy it) or practice in preparation for your role on stage in a couple of weeks! Have [...]

This week’s Star!

2022-08-18T13:27:25+01:00

We said goodbye to Darren in the kitchen today. The children are sad to see him go as he has always been so kind and helpful. The staff are sad that he is leaving too as he always has a smile and a cheerful word. We wish him lots of luck in his new job and hope that he will [...]

Anyone for a Dance?

2014-11-20T21:59:23+00:00

Class 4, and I think Class 3 too, will find these two videos useful for their upcoming play in December... Tess, I think playing these should be fine for your PC - they're on YouTube (unlisted and 'ungoogleable' too) and should be much quicker than what we uploaded earlier in the week. Happy practising!

It’s all about the taxes…

2014-11-20T16:59:17+00:00

Thanks Mrs Patterson - changed words to Jessie's J's song for Class 4's play. Here's Class 4 singing the changed words.  It's their first time, first run through, singing it from the sheets put in front of them right at the end of a busy day! I think you may have to turn it up (or use headphones) ... but [...]
