Class 3 visit Chapel Wood to find out about Britain’s woodlands

Class 3 picked a perfect day to visit Chapel Woods with the National Trust today - the sun even came out this afternoon! We were on a research mission to find out about the threats to Britain's woodland habitats, and the plants and animals that live there. Josh and the National Trust team showed us how how to work out [...]

Stepping Stones and the Jet Ski…

We cannot thank Phil from the RNLI enough for his exciting and insightful visit to Stepping Stones this morning. Not only did he take the time out of his day to visit us, he really did an excellent job of making it fun, interesting and engaging for the very young ages that he was presented with. Thinking ahead Phil sent [...]

On Tuesday we got on a plane and flew to Africa for safari. This trip included an in flight snack, which [...]

We also explored the 'Billy goats Gruff' story. It was a great topic and the children built some fantastic structures and started some amazing conversations. During [...]

Class 4 at the Eden Project

Class 4 had a fantastic two days at the Eden Project.  We did some excellent workshops: 'Plant Explorers' and 'Sustainability Sussed' and had a great 'Night in the Biome' Experience. Nick, our Eden teacher, was brilliant - he knew so much about all the plants and made our time there really interesting. Hopefully your children have told you all about [...]

Class 3 Get Creative…

Class 3 had a great time in our Artmash Glass workshop with Lisa yesterday. We learnt how glass in fired and then spent the morning making rain forest leaves for our collaborative art piece. Then, in the afternoon, everyone designed and made their own glass panels based on our Henri Rousseau jungle work. It was something really different, [...]
