We always have an amazing day when we visit Rosemoor Gardens and today didn’t disappoint! It was a brilliant way to tie together our minibeast topic.

We explored the grounds, had fun in the play park, spotted some beautiful plants, had a picnic and a play on the field and took part in a minibeast workshop. We played a game to find ‘camouflaged’ wooly worms in the woods, used ‘invertebrate collecting tools’ (ie. spoons) to find different minibeasts. Jane, our Rosemoor teacher for the day, gave us some leaflets to help us identify the different minibeasts. We also made our own clay model minibeasts!

Thanks so much to all at Rosemoor for a successful day – and also to our wonderful parent helpers! 🙂
