Ever so slight changes over the week, but

Phew, at last, the school productions were filmed and edited and then emailed out to parents this week.  It was sad that we couldn’t use the Village Hall after the Christmas break, but the children really enjoyed watching themselves back on our new whiteboard screens, and I hope you enjoyed them too.

Continuing with Pantos… “Break a leg” to Bea Matthews who will be performing in her first panto production of Aladdin, for Croyde Players this weekend.  Georgeham leavers Eva Matthews & Elsie Lambert also have starring parts.  Tickets available on the door at Croyde Village Hall.  The performance starts at 7.30pm today, Friday evening, with two more performances on Saturday.

We’ve bought in the Spacedome for Thursday from the Callington Space Centre.  It’s always loved by the children, so we’ve timetabled the whole school to spend some time learning about the planets and stars.   We’ll take some photos and blog about this for sure!

Just to let you know that NT is planting thousands of trees in Woolacombe and they are wanting families to help on the weekend of 19th and 20th Feb if you can.  We don’t know any more details just yet but do put the date in your diary for now, and I’ll get contacts and details out soon.

Don’t forget that it’s swimming again on Monday for most of the school.

Our front doors are open between 8.45 and 8.55 with children doing learning activities as soon as they arrive.  Sadly, the ones who arrive late at 9.00 am would have missed this, and the ones who are later can even miss the introduction to the next learning task.

Please aim to arrive at 8.45am

Please do look at the school menu before you leave home in the morning.  Keri is unable to adjust the menu each day and it’s important that the children know what’s on offer and are happy to make choices in the morning.

Yet again, we’ve had a few Covid cases this week, and so we’ve issued some Warn and Inform letters to the families in a few classes.  Please have a read of these and carry out the recommendations, to ensure we maintain our low number of cases.

I know the plans I have for you; plans to bring about the future you hope for.”
