Class 1 take a ride on The Polar Express!

2022-08-18T13:27:07+01:00

We started our morning with a snowball fight in the hall! Well done to Bodhi who was the last man standing! We then went back to class 1 and took our seats on The Polar Express. We went on a long journey through snowy mountains and in dark tunnels...all the way to The North Pole! Halfway through our trip we [...]

Year 5/6 Play Leaders

2019-12-19T18:32:59+00:00

Well done to Year 5/6 who were absolute troopers yesterday in the rather miserable weather! They had a fantastic day with Ben from Inspired Playgrounds, learning how to lead the younger children in active play games using our snazzy new playground markings. The children were simply AMAZING, taking on their role as leader very seriously - it was lovely to [...]

Another Christmas Tradition… Counting forks…

2019-12-19T12:03:46+00:00

Keri & Martina have done a sterling job this morning - children are going to love it! But the other Christmas tradition that the unsung heroes help out in, is that of counting spaces / spoons / chairs... possibly not place settings though! Thanks to Elaine & Kate for their annual mammoth task of getting the hall ready! Look at [...]

Christmas Fair (unless you were diddled with change?)

2022-08-18T13:27:07+01:00

Our children did extremely well. Class 4 made Christmas gifts, crafts and cakes... Class 3 mostly shot at you with their NERF guns (unless you stood on the lines)... and Class 2 had a range of snowball and target themed games, including a traditional pin-the-nose-on-a-snowman game. :-) Class 1 are always thoroughly looked after by Miss Smale, Mrs Holbourn & [...]

Resilient Heroes – running in hail?!

2019-12-16T14:14:00+00:00

This weekend our cross country team raced in the final meet of the year and the soggy and exposed course around Northam Burrows. Two words sum them up.  Resilient Heroes.  The boys ran in freezing hail and wind barely keeping their shoes on in the mud and through the trenches.  The girls were slightly luckier as the sun peeked out [...]

Happy #PlasticFree Christmas 🎄🎅

2019-12-13T21:42:37+00:00

As part of our #SingleUse #PlasticFree journey, we decided not to have Christmas Crackers at Christmas dinner on Thursday. However, I suggested class 4 make paper hats for the whole school to wear. After a *very* busy afternoon we now have 104 paper hats all decorated and ready to wear. I told the children I'd perhaps been too ambitious with [...]
