What a fantastic school trip we have had today!

The children were treated like real Victorian children applying for a position at Coldharbour Mill. They met the (rather scary!) Mr Robson, who discussed the roles that they would be applying for. The children learnt about the tasks that Victorian children would have to undertake, the reality of the working conditions in a mill and even perfected their ‘rat killing stamp’.

Thankfully, no rats were to be seen and we have all arrived home safely, with no toes lost to frostbite (a genuine concern of some of the children!).

A great day with a fabulous class – I am sure every one of the children would have been offered a position!
