The Guild of Food Writers…

Young Food Writer of The Year 2019

The Write It competition is back, with your chance to be crowned Young Food Writer of the Year 2019.

Just write a story on the theme of ‘Food for Sharing’ for your chance to win lots of fabulous prizes and an invite to the Winners’ Lunch to meet some of your food writing heroes. Your writing can feature any food sharing occasion, from Sunday lunches with family to a seaside picnic with your best friend, anything you like on the theme to get the judges’ taste buds tingling.

See more top tips, check out the Winners’ Lunch 2018 video to meet last year’s winners and also read the winning stories in full from 2018 for inspiration!

The competition opened on 7th January and closes on 30th April, and the winners will be announced in May.

It seems that children need to write (or copy and paste) their story in to a text box on the Pink Lady website. This is where the children’s school Google accounts would be useful – to write into Google Docs, have their work automatically saved and enable them to copy and paste their story into the website’s box.
Hope this helps!
(Children’s Google logins are the same as their school Chromebook logins – they should know these, but do ask if you’re not sure!)
