Class 1 fun!

2018-05-29T15:48:57+01:00

This week we have been so impressed with everyone's hard work, especially with their writing! We have been writing about our favourite things in school, how to be a 'rainbow friend' (from the story Rainbow Fish) and most exciting...a letter to our friend Esther who moved to Gibraltar in February! Esther sent us a powerpoint full of pictures and stories [...]

Yr6 London photos!

2022-08-18T13:27:15+01:00

https://photos.app.goo.gl/AK2SH2nMjYrXekaH6 An understandably brief blog - four days in London and an Aquathlon to finish the week; I feel as tired as the year 6's today, and I didn't swim & run! We had the pleasure of taking this amazing group of children to London this week. A train all the way, and they explored Lee Valley and Waltham Abbey... [...]

Year 6 run the school….well, assembly anyway 😉

2022-08-18T13:27:15+01:00

Due to the fact Mr Thomas was out at the aquathlon with children from classes 3 and 4, I asked the 3 remaining year 6 to lead assembly. They agreed (very eagerly) and managed to welcome children into the hall, encourage children to talk about their week, gave a prayer and finally asked children a class at a time to [...]

2018-05-18T22:14:41+01:00

This afternoon the whole of class 4 had a party on the field to celebrate the effort everyone has put into their assessments this week. Thank you to everyone who made this such a great party; it was clear that the children had been busy at home preparing some lovely food to share. It was also fantastic to see that the [...]

Vets, pets and a whole lot of mess!

2022-08-18T13:27:15+01:00

After noticing quite a lot of role playing amongst the children over the last couple of weeks involving conversations about pets we decided to turn the home corner into a veterinary surgery this week. This has been extremely popular! We have had a reception area, a waiting room and a vets surgery. We have absolutely loved getting down on the [...]

Class 3 have just returned from an action packed overnight residential to St George's House - far, far away in the little known village of Georgeham! It's been a great couple of days, with the children really making the most of the activities and opportunities they have had. From enjoying a perfect afternoon paddling in Ilfracombe harbour on Monday night, [...]

Reception’s seaside poems!

2018-05-12T12:19:30+01:00

This week we have been using alliteration in our poems about the seaside! In groups we came up with all of the things that we love about going to the beach. We then used alliteration to describe it! 'I love finding shelly, shiny sea-shells!' 'I love surfing on washy, wavy waves' This morning reception performed their poems to the year [...]
