Thursday’s School?

The Met Office is providing different reports for Braunton, Croyde and Putsborough for tomorrow's weather and possible timing of the arrival of more snow.  Linked below (and pictured above) is the worst case scenario, for Putsborough. We plan to open and staff will attempt to come in to school, but we will make a final decision at 7.45am in the [...]

Snow Day…

We hope you're going to have fun outside instead today, as we're unable to open the school. Nick Gibbs’s letter…

What a nice surprise we had when we opened the post yesterday... a letter from Rt Hon Nick Gibb, the Minister of State for School Standards, congratulating our school pupils and staff for our achievement in Mathematics last year. We really are quite happy indeed that, with 100% of our children reaching or exceeding the expected standard in maths at [...]

Spotlights have started…!

We started off our year 6 spotlights amazingly well this week with Owen and Jonah's spotlights on Street Performance and Wild Camping. Spotlights are what the 'Show and Tells' develop into as our children grow and improve on their confidence and public speaking through the school.  This time, it's in front of the whole school, staff and some parents too.  [...]

Outdoor learning

Stepping stones have been making the most out of the sunny weather. We have taken the opportunity to take our learning outside in the beautiful sunshine!

Number work

In stepping stones we have been working on number recognition and ordering, using our number cards and dinosaur spot cards
