Harvest…

2018-10-04T13:59:17+01:00

At this Friday's 150th service, we'll also be taking the produce (and sellotaped coins) to the church for BPAG / Encompass SW. Please send in produce, tins, cartons etc., that you may not need, as these are needed hugely by some families, even as close as Barnstaple.

Braunton Football @ Guernsey…

2018-07-25T11:48:55+01:00

Archie Cresswell spent his weekend in Guernsey with Braunton Football Club playing at the BMCI Soccer tournament against 20 other teams. They did amazingly well, winning all 10 games in their group. And even though they were 1 point ahead of Group B's winner, Everton Academy, they lost their game with them in the semi-finals. Amazing result for Braunton who [...]

Class 3 enjoy a morning of tennis!

2018-05-02T06:42:15+01:00

Class 3 had a great morning at Braunton Academy yesterday. We joined the other schools in the BLC (Braunton Learning Community) for a morning of tennis skills run by the pupils at the Academy. (It was lovely to see former Georgeham pupils Sarah Filsel and Tom Hakin there, doing a great job of running the activities!)   The [...]

Last mention of Lundy, I promise!

2017-07-11T23:49:20+01:00

Lundy - last time I mention it this academic year I promise (maybe not actually!) We've loads of really nice photos if you'd like to view or download them... but I've also, finally finished editing the Go-Pro footage. Sadly, we're missing the main bulk of Wednesday's walk due to a dead battery - the quarry, German 'Heinkel' bomber, Admiralty's lookout, [...]

Welcome to Mrs Ivall and Miss Smale!

2022-08-18T13:27:19+01:00

Welcome to both Karen Ivall and Emily Smale to our lovely school! You may have seen Mrs Ivall collecting Class 3 from the playground occasionally these past two weeks... but Miss Smale had her first afternoon with her class and children today in our school's 'Shift-Up Afternoon.' Shift-up afternoons give a great opportunity for our children to see and experience [...]

Pride of School Day…

2022-08-18T13:27:20+01:00

I had a brilliant day at school today. :-) You may notice that this is being posted about a SATURDAY, in school...  I know!  I'm normally doing something with my own kids; playing in the park, scootering, cycling or exploring the rocks on Baggy, but we all went to school early this morning and whilst they had fun in the [...]

Class 4’s Ancient Greek Day

2016-10-06T12:57:05+01:00

Class 4 were looking very Greek yesterday when we all dressed up for a a history workshop day on Ancient Greece. It was a great opportunity to find out more about our topic from Phillipa, an expert, and to handle some replica artefacts. We made a range of objects from a pendent decorated with Athena's owl to Greek [...]
