We had another fantastic Summer fete this year. There were all the usual favourites of Splat the Rat, the raffle, Tin Can Alley and the BBQ but this year we introduced a Glastonbury feel with our very own Festival Tent that housed nail art, henna tattoos and flower creations. During the fete, the children showed their talents with an exceptional [...]
Class 4's new library make-over is finished! FROGS give each class £50 per term to spend on books, so in class 4 we've been building up a good selection of fiction and non-fiction titles, and thanks to FROGS providing us with some new shelving we now have a great library to display and enjoy our books!
The deadline for completion was 2.30pm on Monday, and each boat was given 2 attempts to race down the 3 metre trough - it was a very demanding task as although most of the boats were fine in the paddling pool, getting them to go straight for 3m was way harder! The results for the fastest boats were [...]
Last week Class 4 designed and built their own motor powered boats. There were some creative (and original!) ideas, and yesterday was the moment of truth when we raced the boats down a 3m trough... Today is the 'best design' competition...results to be announced soon... A massive thanks to all the paents who helped: Mick, Darrin, Steve, Matt, [...]
Tonight was the FROGS Christmas event and everyone was invited to watch Elf. On entry each child was presented with some jazzy Christmas headgear and offered chilli, nachos, hot dogs and chilli dogs. In the interval there were ice creams and there was even a competition for the best Festive jumper. Wow, what a great night! :-) Thank you to the [...]
Another summer, another fantastic Summer Fair! We all enjoyed the regular stalls such as The BBQ, Wine or Water, Teddy Tombola, Lucky Dip, nail art, tin-can alley, face painting and tattoos. This year we also had a new addition with the Sumo Suits and the return of an old favourite in BRUM. Some of class 4 set up their own [...]
This evening our disco had a lovely family feel with children and parents enjoying the opportunity to have a drink, a chat and (in some cases) a bit of a dance! Whilst the hall was once again the main stage for the music action (great DJ-ing skills Emma Trueman :-) ), class 4 became more of a'chill out' room with [...]
Thanks to Louise Shaddick, we have some great photos of our Christmas Productions! Fancy downloading one of these for yourself? I think this link will take you to the Dropbox folder where you can download these, and many more. Louise and I (and some other parents) thought you'd like to donate to FROGS for the photos you download (50p each [...]
