DIY (with lots of help!)

2022-08-18T13:27:00+01:00

It was going to be a DIY and tidying up kind of day, but I ended up having lots of help! There was an awful lot of wood left over after the installation of the EYFS canopy and some of the year 5 and 6 children had thought about making an eco cabin out of it... so that's how it [...]

Music Appreciation Class… 🤘

2022-08-18T13:27:02+01:00

Teachers Rock showcased their work this afternoon for class 3 and 4, but also to another 8500 children around the UK. We had a question and answer session with The New Born King's song writer, Mike Stocks, and Teachers Rock founder, Debbie Kent, who led the children through a warm up before guiding us all through Mike's song.  (Some children [...]

Mike Stocks’ New Born King…

2022-08-18T13:27:03+01:00

We wrote this on the newsletter too, but here's a reminder that it's tonight that our school will have a small spot on BBC spotlight - Jet and Isla talking about Mike stocks' new Christmas song, New Born King, and our year 4s singing a little bit of it.  Spotlight also interviewed Jet's Dad, Mike and Teachers Rock founder, Debbie Kent. Big Christmas Lights, Switched ON!!

2022-08-18T13:27:03+01:00

We heard there was a big push for getting Christmas lights up into windows and outside on buildings for Saturday night, and with a flurry of activity, we managed it just in time! Thanks to past pupil Harry Shaddick for making a star overnight, and some wonderful photos from David Morton. [/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

Crib On The Green…

2022-08-18T13:27:03+01:00

Coming up to Christmas, we won't be able to gather and walk around the village to collect our Nativity Characters as in previous years. But Christmas will still happen, even if very differently, and we want to give this Nativity to our community to brighten up all our Christmases! It always thrills me, as Rector, how creative our families are [...]

It’s started…!

2022-08-18T13:27:04+01:00

The first thing that needs to happen when you're installing a playground, is to bring down the existing one! To keep the cost down, I was in again on Saturday with Governor and Rector Mike Newbon, chainsaw-wielding Martin Larrington from St. George's House and my eldest son, Morgan, for some muscles, lugging it all to the Nature Area to be [...]
