Thanks for all the support with the book fair this week!  We managed to raise just over £200 which will go towards replenishing our book stock.  It was a lovely event and our Class 4 children were quite excited about being little apprentices too!

We also had the Space Dome arrive at Georgeham Chapel this week and everyone had a really good session discovering new things about everything to do with space.  I couldn’t list everything Simon talked about as it was an hour jam-packed full of interesting things!  After many years, I finally managed to get in there myself and I have to say it was brilliant.  We hope the children came back buzzing and excited at what they saw!  A couple of photos… just here.

It’s Safer Internet Day next week, but we’d like to share with you that, in partnership with the BLCT schools, we’ve organised an excellent online E-Safety session for Wednesday 16th at 8pm from a team known as “The 2 Johns”.  They are absolutely amazing and I follow them on Facebook as they have excellent content that supports us professionals keep our children safe.    We will send out logging instructions closer to the time, but do put aside the 16th at 8pm in your diary for a Zoom session.

The National Trust is planting thousands of trees in Woolacombe and they are wanting families to help on the weekend of 19th and 20th Feb if you can.  Click the picture… or arrive on Marine Drive between 10am and 2pm.

Don’t forget that it’s swimming again on Monday for… most of the school.

Our front doors are open between 8.45 and 8.55 with children doing learning activities as soon as they arrive.  Sadly, the ones who arrive late at 9.00 am would have missed this, and the ones who are later can even miss the introduction to the next learning task.

Please aim to arrive at 8.45am

Please do look at the school menu before you leave home in the morning.  Keri is unable to adjust the menu each day and it’s important that the children know what’s on offer and are happy to make choices in the morning.

Yet again, we’ve had a few Covid cases this week, and so we’ve issued some Warn and Inform letters to the families in a few classes.  Please have a read of these and carry out the recommendations, to ensure we maintain our low number of cases.

I know the plans I have for you; plans to bring about the future you hope for.”
