Thank you for bringing in items for our Harvest Celebration next week. Lots of groceries were brought in this morning, but we’d love to have lots more items brought in over the week too.
These will all be passed over to St George’s Church for their Harvest Service on Sunday, and then on to the local foodbanks. It would be lovely to carry on the tradition of attaching money donations on each item, but rather than sellotape (single-use plastic) please bring in loose change with your donations. “Do to others as you would have them do to you…” of course.
I was talking about Internet Safety with the local schools’ Headteachers this week. We’re organising an internet safety session for parents to support our community to understand what’s appropriate, and what’s not. We’ll forward details when we know more. I was also reminded of a great website that supports this when it comes to apps, games and films. Have a click through … www.commonsensemedia.org
Attendance is still, and always, very important… but of course, not when they’re ill and certainly not when they’ve got a temperature, have a new continuous cough, or have a lack in taste or smell, which is when you need to keep your child off school and go for a PCR. I know it’s quite odd considering the guidance change over the summer, but children and vaccinated adults don’t need to isolate if they know someone, or have been in contact with someone, who tested positive.
This week, we have had a further 5 red jumpers added to the lost property tub, bringing our total to 17 red items since we started back three weeks ago. We’d love to be able to personally hand these over to children, but they’ve no name written in to enable this. Please ensure your child’s uniform is named this weekend.
Guitar lessons? Do get in touch and we’ll pass on Sarah Cox’s contact details.
