Today we celebrated the 150th birthday of Georgeham School with an awesome Summer Fete. Thank you so much to all of the FROGS members for organising the event, thank you to parents for supporting the school and to the children for their fantastic enthusiasm today.

The Maypole and the Broom Dance have been a traditional at the school for so many years and we were proud to be able to perform them this year to continue the tradition. It was brilliant that parents (some of them ex-pupils) were keen to have a go too.

The focus on celebrating 150 years meant that log books, attendance records and school photo diaries were on display in class 2 and it was great that past pupils, parents and members of the wider community came to reminisce. Towards the end of the fete a fantastic birthday cake was presented to Mr Thomas-expertly made by Keri.

We had ‘soak Mr Thomas’ as usual but this year we also had ‘soak Paul Trueman’ (who puts Nippers through their places so was a popular target đŸ˜‰ ). Sophie Kerslake’s performance with pupils past and present, a gymnastics display, the BBQ, Bar and raffle were brilliant too.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! HERE’S TO THE NEXT 150 YEARS OF OUR AMAZING SCHOOL đŸ™‚
