Class 4’s science week had an eventful start today with an introduction from PETROC on space which had hydroden explosions, gun powder, a flying teddy, a rocket jet pack and then, to top it all off, a barrel of exploding teddies! (Don’t worry all of the teddies were fine.)

Top fact of the day: if we had a scale model of our solar system and the sun was about the size of a tomato, the earth would be about half the drama hall away from it, and the closest star to us would be about the size of a tomato and in Cairo! Can you imagine how bright that tomato would have to be for us to see it from here?

After the introduction it was off to our different workshops to find out ‘What science is…’
