All the pupils who took part in these groups spoke thoughtfully about what they had learnt. We were very proud of them. Next Friday, we are looking [...]

This week in school we talked about a new set of school rules. We've come up with them with Mr Fry (the new headteacher). They are these: At Georgeham School we are safe; we are kind; we are respectful; we are hard-working; we are great listeners. These rules do not replace our Learning Values, but they will help us to [...]

It was great to see our cross-country runner in action today, taking part in the Stephen Shields event. They were competing against runners from other schools - there were hundreds of children in each race. We had some very impressive results but even more importantly our pupils showed great determination and resilience. I was also really pleased to stand with [...]

We have been inspired by the wonderful Patrice Lawrence in class 3 and 4, and the hilarious Nick Toczek in class 2. With the help of the Appledoore book festival we've had the pleasure of welcoming these authors to our school. They spoke about writing, being creative and their journey's to become authors.  While also sharing some poems, stories and [...]

Class 3 walk the River Lyn

2023-09-26T21:00:42+01:00

Class 3 had an epic adventure today, following the River Lyn from its source to mouth with our amazing National Trust guides. We looked at how the river changed as it grew, had lunch at Watersmeet (a confluence) and then finished off our journey with an ice-cream at Lynmouth (the Lyn's mouth!). Along the way we saw some of the [...]
