ABOUT GEORGEHAM PRIMARY SCHOOL



We are all very proud of our school and work together to provide the best education we can. We have received the Healthy School Award and also the Activemark Gold Award for our achievement in sport.

The photos at the top of the page are of Devon Air Ambulance visiting with its crew, to tell us about their work and say thank you for all the 'Helibags' we filled during the summer of 2006.

The main school building was built in 1868 but we have had major alterations to improve the accommodation. We have just over 100 children on roll and the school caters for pupils aged 4 to 11. We also have a playgroup - Stepping Stones - on the school site.

The school has a mature wooded nature area and we have a large playing field looking out over open countryside. It includes a large all weather surface and 'Trim Trail' for use by all our children. Class 1 now have a special outside area of their own too.
