This week we have loved reading the story ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’. We now know the story *almost* off by heart! So, during our golden time this afternoon we put our wellies on and we went on a bear hunt!

We went through the swishy, swashy grass…through the deep, cold river (kind of), through the oozy mud, braved the deep dark forest, and battled the swirling snow storm…it was a beautiful day so we used our imagination at it’s best for some of it!!

But when we made it into the deep dark forest, we had a letter from the bear who wanted to play hide and seek with his friends. So we worked as a team to find the 6 bears within the trees. It was so lovely to see the children working together to find the bears. They were even picking up on clues…’I think this is a bear’s foot print so it must be this way….’ ‘This is definitely some bear food, so he has been here!’

When we came in, we warmed up by watching the short film of ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’. We all agreed that we would love to do it again! 🙂
