There were a few tissues needed for our year 6 leavers’ assembly on Friday, but plenty of smiles and laughs too. It was great to listen to their memories, and look back with pride at what they have all achieved during their time here at Georgeham – they have been a fabulous cohort and we are sad to see them go, but very proud of all of them.

Here is a look back at an eventful last week…

Wednesday’s Leavers lunch which included a lot of chocolate and turned into a disco with Miss Trute…

A massive thanks to Keri and Lhong in the kitchen and also Clare, Sam and Tracy for helping with the BBQ (and Lola for bringing in the chocolate fountain!)

Thursday’s water fight when Neo turned up with a watergun that was literally bigger than him…

Year 6 did a great job of soaking Mr Thomas, but he didn’t do too badly against 15 and used a cunning ‘pose for the picture’ move to get maximum damage with the hosepipe…

Friday’s Leavers’ assembly…

I’m not sure we have ever had a year where it has been so difficult to decide on the awards as each and every member of this year group deserved one..

However it was lovely to see last year’s winners back and Molly Gibbs, Beau Betteridge, Liza Baker (and Livvie Bennett standing in for Molly Symoms) presented this year’s awards to:

The Spirit of Devon Award – Polly Hood

The Endeavor Bowl – Neo Thommen

The Tony Fletcher cupĀ  – Toby Wallis & Oliver Richards

Well done to everyone, thanks for all your hard work and for being such stars, good luck for the future, and make sure you come back and see us soon!!!!!!!

Thanks to Mrs Holborne for the great selection of photos from class 1, Mrs P for her supreme organisation in getting the leavers’ song prepared before she left 2 months ago, and Emma Trueman for all the time she spent practising with them.
