Classes 1 & 2 were so lucky today, Isla's Dad Darrin came in to talk to us all about life in Australia to help us with our topic.

The children had prepared lots of questions to ask Darrin but also listened beautifully to him telling us all about the animals and from Captain Cook's voyage to having no central heating in their houses.
The children especially loved hearing about poisonous creatures like the Red-Backed Spider and the Death Adder!
He told us about the importance of sheep wool, due to abundance of it and surprised us with the fact that one of its uses is house insulation.
Thank you for coming in to talk to us Darrin, we are now experts on 'Down Under'!
