Class 4 had a great day at the Braunton School Athletics Festival yesterday competing against years 5 & 6 from all of the Braunton Learning Community primary schools. The day was run as a mini Olympics and our teams (Uganda and Greece) ran, jumped, hurdled and threw their way round 8 different activities designed to test their endurance and skill.

Both teams put in a great performance and showed excellent team spirit, encouraging and supporting each other to do their best – I’m sure there were some aching legs and sore throats the next morning!

Congratulations go to Germany (Southmead) who claimed first place, but Georgeham were clear winners in the impromptu dance-off against Kingsacre…

Well done to Beau B and James, who got the medals for best team players, and well done to everyone in class 4 for a great day!
